a Siladora silk twill scarf.
Where did it come from?
It was woven, printed and finished with hand rolled hems in Italy. The raw silk yarn is from China.
Where will it likely go?
It won't go anywhere hopefully! I'll keep it, and it will probably be found in my wardrobe by my grandchildren decades from now.
Why is it special?
Because it's from our first collection! For a project to come to fruition, and be able to touch and wear the scarf I have been thinking about for the last year is an awesome feeling!
A penny for your thoughts?
"Small, but shouting TRUE!" I like this phrase because it sums up the brand's mission and values.
We are small - a small business, small collections, involving emerging artists yet to become big: but we have big and true aspirations. Aspirations that are faithful to a core belief we can create an item that is beautiful, wearable, of best quality and genuinely meaningful…
By doing so perhaps we can effect and reflect the words of the great bard Shakespeare in our relationships.
"This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man."
